Wheat growers from 20 states competed this year in two primary categories, winter wheat and spring wheat. Those categories are further divided into dryland and irrigated wheat. In the winter wheat category, AgriMAXX grower Michael Ebelhar from Kentucky ranked #4 in the nation and #1 in Kentucky with AgriMAXX 505 yielding 126.07 bushels per acre.

Farmers in this year’s Illinois Wheat Association High Yield Contest certainly pushed yields to impressive heights as the top three finalists all surpassed 130 bushels per acre. Mark Krausz, IWA vice president from New Baden (Clinton County), won the 2021 wheat yield contest with an entry of 133.4 bushels per acre using AgriMAXX 505 variety.
